Re: Big problem...
There's about 50-50 chances about that...And is it new or old(how old)? The reason you maybe can't access is that he kinda plug off(or computer doesn't recognize it on turning on)
Also, where were those 4 infected files?

Re: Big problem...
i have this computer for nearly 2 years now, and the 1000gigs for a little bit than 1 year... i have unplugged/plugged the HDD and now i can again access to it... But windows still find a bug on one HDD (now i'm not sure wich one is bugging --' )
And for the infected files i didn't check where they were... my antivirus tell me that he deleted them ^^
Right now i have to coma back home ( in 1 hour ) and i will try to get HDD from my father...

Lol Marine, my primary hdd (also 1tb) crashed yesterday evening..with my system and most of my stuff on it. So I went to buy a new one today and luckily could access the old one again...so now I'm copying my files and then I'm gonna kill my system...what a fun day!
Good luck with your hdd...and buy a new one...its always useful and not so expensive.^^

Re: Big problem...
Well,if you can get access on it,that's good for now...Idk why hdd who is 1 year old can get you troubles...I have my computer for,i think,3 years(almost) and no troubles with him yet..(no hardware problems ) except nvidia graphic card which i replaced(yeah, the only problem)
I really don't know how to help you anymore..Just maybe to defragment both disks(that will be like a long day for you if you have more than 500gb full) and hoping for the best... If this won't help, then buy new hdd or try to get some explanations for this one from you shop where you bought it..

But what pc do you got, I mean Packard Bell, dell or what?
And is it a desktop pc or laptop?

Re: Big problem...
Try a different virus scanner.
I had Nod32 too and its not detecting some Virusses / errors.
Try Avast, its free and its very easy to use
