Big problem...

Post by Guest on Thu Feb 17, 2011 3:52 pm

Hi all.
unfortunately, i think that my computer have been infected by a big virus...
i just cant start the game, the internet bug lot of, when i try to copy paste a file that take like infinite, when i try to shut down my computer, after more than 30, he still try to close the session, i really dont know what happen, i try to find the possible virus, but my antivirus dont find anything ( thats nod32 ) ...
i think i 'm going to have to reinstall the windows, but the problem is that i dont have here the installation disk, they are at my home, and i come back like you know each w-e at home.

Then if the bug is not fix before i come back home i will have to reinstall windows and all stuff, that will really pissed me off...

I had a copy problem liek yours with a hdd a couple of years ago, too. Some weeks later the hdd crashed totally and I lost all the files on it...so if you know which hdd is causing trouble right now, I recommend buying a new one and making a bakcup as long as it is possible in any way. (if you can't copy in windows directly, try the old school way via the command prompt...it worked in my case when windows already gave up)

I'm going to school for "engineer for computers" (dont know "real" name for it on english) and i still didn't learn much, but i know from my experience..

Amm,if hdds are problem...then just plug off one hdd(after scanning for viruses) and see if other one will "bug"..if it still bugs, then you just found one bugger hdd and one "working" hdd..

Also, you need to be patient about this scanning...Nod32(or Eset Smart Security/Eset Antivirus),they are very good for antiviruses and for something like this(1184 gb) is really needs time...xD

If this won't help, then you should find some solution on internet or go to your shop where you bought hdds or even whole computer Smile)))

Run CCleaner and delete your history, cookies ect.
Install MBAM (google it) and run a quick scan.
Maybe this helps.

hijackthis is also english, but you can screw up whole your system with it. I suggest to try my tips or just reinstall it and after reinstalling make a backup with acronis.
